Originally from Astoria, Queens, Liz moved to the beautiful Hudson Valley in 2004. At that time, she was already a Licensed Massage Therapist having attended the Swedish Institute in 1998 and receiving her license the same year. Liz decided she wanted to delve deeper into helping people feel good in their bodies. She went on to study acupuncture at Tri-State College of Acupuncture, where she completed her Master’s Degree in Acupuncture in 2006 and received her license soon after.
Liz loves practicing both modalities, and in combination finds that it is a powerful way to work out stress, pain and injuries, while addressing deeper imbalances such as headaches, digestive issues, menstrual issues, autoimmune, etc. “In my experience, Chinese medicine is an energy based medicine that taps into a body’s
innate ability to heal. The body, as a whole, runs smoother, has more energy and less pain. My focus is to facilitate and restore the balance so that your system communicates better with itself.”
Liz loves working with all types of people – women, men, young, old, in between, and differently abled. The reward is helping you feel good.
Liz loves biking and hiking the fantastic trails of the Hudson Valley, but her favorite form of exercise is salsa dancing! Being of Cuban descent, Liz enjoys visiting family and friends in Miami and her beloved Key West as well as cooking up authentic Cuban cuisine.
